This new version 2020 is great with spin around the greens…. this is definitely a LOW SPIN ball… it’s very soft feeling… and the flight stays down… great for windy days and firm running fairways… I was also turned on to the -Pro V1x (Left Dash) this.. which is a higher flighted Low Spin… it does feel firmer but easy to get use to… The Left Dash does add a good amount of distance on woods and driver shots…. But AVX should be a ball that a lot of people …. Left Dash Pro V1X is only available by speacial order directly through Titleist… the AVX is available everywhere… but if you do want to bring spin rate down ….. both options are amazing ….

My son is a teaching golf pro and recomended these balls for me (14 handicap golfer). They are great off the tee and also excellent for putting. Overall a superb golf ball.

Senior golfer, and I play with seniors who, from years of experience, know how to manage a course. So we had a lengthy discussion re: the benefits of using a premium golf ball as opposed to a good but less expensive ball for the masses. LOL. One of our foursome only plays a Maxfli Soft, and was adamant that “all balls are the same.” So I ordered the AVX dozen in yellow, and the question was answered yesterday when his partner, 77 yoa, who can crank out a drive with accuracy, tried the AVX on a long, tricky par 4, where the only path to the green is fairway right near a line of tall trees. He hit the longest drive I have ever seen him hit on this hole, and followed it with a 9 iron to the green, 2 putt for par (almost birdied it). I hit a shorter drive but long for me, and bogeyed. Point is the AVX performs as advertised. Mid high flight with low spin, and most importantly, you can control its landing zone for proper approach second shots. Even naysayer was impressed. So if you have a slower swing speed but make solid contact most of the time, this should work for you too. I think Titleist did some major research prior to constructing this ball.

It seems like this ball goes farther. I don’t play any other because it gives me confidence.

Definitely a premium ball. Feels pretty close to a pro v1 but the spin is significantly less… if you hit it left it goes left. Less spin does help on the drives but adds some roll to approach shots. Love the yellow they way they shine… 4 star on price because I just think any box of balls over $30 is a bit ridiculous but that’s the price you pay for a top tier titleist ball

This is a fantastic golf ball. If you like a low-spin, soft feeling ball, this is the one for you. I hit the ball very high, so the flatter trajectory of this ball is appealing to me. If you want something you can spin the cover off of, this is not really going to suit you. I don’t produce a lot of spin with my irons and don’t count on it when playing, so the low spin characteristics of this ball do not bother me.

This is a very durable ball that you will likely wear out before you lose it. I like the way it plays and putts. Handicap of 10 at age 80.

I’ve played the Pro V1 for years, and I am only a bogey golfer. Now that I play from the senior tees, I am extremely happy with the AVX. I am not sure why companies change the balls almost every year, but I do know that a low cost new ball is better than a used high priced ball. If you like Callaway softs and Titleist in general, you may really like this ball. I keep coming back to it.

I’ve played these for about 4 rounds now and I’m impressed. I chose the yellow because I find it easier to manage a yellow ball on the course I play because there are lots of balls that people just leave on the course and it’s less likely those balls will be yellow. I generate lots of spin on my irons and I wanted to test a ball that wasn’t going to spin as much. These check on the green well, but don’t overspin off the green like many other balls I’ve tried. They are plenty long off the tee and with irons, and they have an amazing soft feel and sound that I prefer. I’ve found my new ball for a while until I try something new. So far I’ve tried the Bridgestone X and XS’s and I prefer this ball over those. I am in no way a “All Titleist” player. I’ve typically found Titleist a little overrated, but I can’t say that about these.
